One Day training for livestock farmers (ATMA) at Ambadi, Taluka Akot Dist., Akola.

One Day training for livestock farmers on "Janawara madhe akhadya vastunchya sevnamule honare aapay va tyavaril Upaay" in collaboration with Agriculture Training Management Agency (ATMA), Akola was successfully organized at Ambadi, Taluka Akot Dist., Akola on 25th January 2016 by Post Graduate Institute of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Akola.
 
Dr M. G. Thorat, Associate Professor and Chairman Extension Cell, PGIVAS, Akola presided over the function and inaugurated the training programme. Dr S. G. Deshmukh, Assistant Professor, ARGO Dr. M.F.M.F. Siddiqui (Hospital Registrar Medicine) and Dr. Farheen Fani (Hospital Registrar Surgery) Mr. Haribhau Wadatkar, Progressive farmer, Mr. S. S. Tadokar, Agricultural assistant were present to grace the occasion. One informative leaflet in Marathi language written and compiled by Dr S D Chepte, Assistant Professor, Department of Veterinary Surgery Dr M. G. Thorat, Associate Professor Department of Veterinary Surgery entitled "Janawara madhe akhadya vastunchya sevnamule honare aapay va tyavaril Upaay" was released with the hands of guest present for the inaugural function of the training and leaflet long with pen, folder and pad were distributed to the participating farmers of the training. Total 57 livestock farmers were benefited by the training. Dr S D Chepte, Assistant Professor, Department of Veterinary Surgery, delivered the introductory remarks along with hazardous effects on livestock as well as on environment due to indiscriminate use of plastic and polythine Dr M G Thorat, explain the importance and effect on livestock health due to penetrating and non penetrating foreign bodies. Dr S. G. Deshmukh Assistant Professor, ARGO , Dr. M.F.M.F. Siddiqui (Hospital Registrar Medicine) and Dr. Farheen Fani (Hospital Registrar Surgery) delivered lectures on different topics and guided the farmers during the training programme.

During valedictory session, certificates were distributed to the participants at the hands of honorable guest. The programme was anchored by Dr S. G. Deshmukh and Dr. S. D. Chepte expressed the vote of thanks and coordinated the training programme. All the participants expressed their satisfaction over this training programme. Mr.Deepak Mogre , BTM (ATMA) and MR. Rahul Adani ATM (ATMA, Telhara) and Mr. Nikhil deshmukh (ATM, Akot) worked hard for successful organization of the trainining programme.
