SUCCESSFUL ORGANIZATION OF ONE DAY TRAINING ON "REPRODUCTIVE MANAGEMENT IN LARGE ANIMALS" AT SHIVAPUR, Tq. & Dist. AKOLA

 
 
 
 
 
One Day training for livestock farmers on "Reproductive management in large animals" sponsored by Agriculture Training Management Agency (ATMA), Akola was organized at Shivapur, Taluka and Dist., Akola on 14th Mar 2014 by the Department of ARGO, PGIVAS, Akola.
 
The training was inaugurated at the hands of Dr. M. G. Thorat, Associate Dean, PGIVAS, Akola and Mr. Ashok Bankhele, Project Director, ATMA, Akola, by performing Goddess "Sarswati Poojan" and lighting the traditional lamp at the hands of guests. One information booklet in regional language entitled "Gayee Mashinche Prajanan Vyavasthapan" was released with the hands of guest present for the inaugural function of the training and the booklets were distributed to the participating farmers of the training. Total 40 livestock farmers were benefited by the training.
 
Dr. S G Deshmukh, the organizing secretary and Assistant Professor, Department of ARGO, delivered the introductory remarks; he focused on the importance of the reproductive management in dairy industry to enhance the milk production. Dr M G Thorat, Associate Dean, Mr Ashok Bankhele, Project Director, ATMA, Akola and Dr R L Dhoble, Professor & Head, Department of ARGO, PGIVAS, Akola also addressed the trainees. The programme was conducted by Dr. Sunnet Wankhede, Assistant Professor of Animal Nutrition and Dr. M V Ingawale, Assistant Professor, ARGO, PGIVAS, Akola proposed the Vote of thanks.
 
Dr. S G Deshmukh acquainted the farmer regarding the importance of artificial insemination and use of reproductive biotechnology, Dr M V Ingawle, explained the importance of 'Calf a Year' programme management and Dr. S M Wankhede, enhanced the knowledge of farmer regarding role of balance diet in reproduction.
 
During valedictory session, certificates were distributed to the participants at the hands of Dr S G Deshmukh, Dr M V Ingawale and Dr S M Wankhede. All the participants expressed their satisfaction over this training programme.
 
Shri. P. D. Patil, Lab Technician and Shri R N Adhoo, Lab Attendant, Department of ARGO, PGIVAS, Akola also worked hard for successful organization of the training.
