54th Maharashtra Day celebrated on May 1st, 2014 - AT PGIVAS, AKOLA

Akola: The Post Graduate Institute of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Akola celebrated the 54th Maharashtra Day on May 1st, 2014. The Associate Dean, PGIVAS, Akola Dr. M. G. Thorat hoisted the tricolor flag at Office building. All the academic as well as non-academic staff of institute and students was among those who attended the celebrations. Dr. Thorat appreciated the efforts taken by Dr. V. H. Kalbande, Dr. D. H. Rekhate and Dr. V. P. Pathak for their remarkable contribution towards formulation of District-wise Mineral Profile of Maharashtra state and similarly, Dr. S. V. Kuralkar and his team for recognition of Berari goat as National breed. He narrated to all staff for taking every effort and maintain punctuality for the development of this institute. He also requested to all staff for contribution of one day salary to the Chief Minister's Drought Relief Fund as a social and moral role towards farmers. The Associate Dean expressed sincere appreciation towards all the workers on eve of International Workers Day. He appreciated equally the efforts taken by workers of this institute for performing their duties with responsibility. He stated that the sincere worker of institute will be awarded Appreciation letter in due course of time. He concluded by extending warm wishes to all the staff and students for Maharashtra Day.
